Our Can Bus enabled 3D print server provides plug-and-play industrial IOT capabilities for 3D printer OEMs with an embedded CAN bus communications interface. CAN bus is vastly superior to the familiar USB serial protocol because it reduces the effect of electrical noise interference from stepper motors and other devices within the printer that may otherwise generate communications errors and failures. This introduces a new level of communications reliability which enhances user confidence in multi-day print jobs and complex multi-gantry printer builds.
The CAN print server also allows users to deploy a distributed processing architecture to reduce wire-count and build complexity throughout the printer. It provides plug-and-play functionality with all SD3D automation controller boards.
As a dedicated print server, this device is responsible for handling print jobs and data transmission between the cloud and the printer. It can be registered to a user’s Printelize account to implement custom factory automation controllers workflows for their additive manufacturing operations.
